The DREADMOOR Demo supports Japanese interface text and subtitles. Japanese full audio is not listed. The professional spoken-language options are English and Russian, so Japanese localization should not be read as a promise of Japanese voice acting.
Read text and audio support separately
| Language | Interface | Subtitles | Full audio |
|---|---|---|---|
| Japanese | Supported | Supported | Not listed |
| English | Supported | Supported | Supported |
| Russian | Supported | Supported | Supported |
This distinction matters when dialogue is spoken in a different language from the text you are reading. Japanese subtitles can provide localized dialogue without replacing the spoken performance.

The Demo’s Japanese row supports interface text and subtitles; full audio is listed for English and Russian.
Identify the October demo
The dedicated demo is Steam App 5219790. It launched on October 6, 2026, with twelve supported text languages. Earlier references to an English-only pre-alpha concern an older playtest, not the language support announced for this demo.
The main game, App 3629430, is a separate entry. An old testing application or an older video should not be used to decide whether the current demo has Japanese text.
Check the installed version before changing files
The exact in-game menu sequence for choosing Japanese is not verified here. Use the language options presented by your installation rather than a guessed menu path or an external patch intended for another game.
The Japanese-language Steam page shows the localization categories, but changing a storefront's display language alone is not proof that an installed game has changed its own language setting. If the expected text is missing, report the application and build along with which interface or subtitle element remains untranslated.
Check the current demo listing for access: language support and the present download window are separate questions. No exact shutdown hour or ongoing access guarantee is established by the localization table.
