Use DREADMOOR's Steam listing to identify the edition you want to download. The main game, DREADMOOR Demo and the historical playtest are separate applications. As of November 2, 2026, the main title is still awaiting its planned November 9 Early Access release.
Identify the correct application
| Entry | Steam App ID | Purpose |
The demo download and the main-game release notice belong to different editions. | --- | --- | --- | | DREADMOOR | 3629430 | Main game and its planned Early Access release | | DREADMOOR Demo | 5219790 | Separate demonstration build | | DREADMOOR Playtest | 3808110 | Historical testing application |
Match the title and developer Dream Dock before installing. A similarly named project is not automatically another distribution of this game.
Check current access on Steam
The October announcement introduced the demo and described its remote-settlement questline. Availability remains controlled by the live Steam listing. A dated video or an old download guide cannot guarantee that its installation control is still available now.
Open the relevant entry in Steam, review its current access state and use the installation option presented for that entry. If the main game still shows a forthcoming release, installing a demo does not unlock the paid main edition ahead of time.
Storage and older saves
The main-game requirements list 60 GB of available storage. This is a storage requirement, not a measured download size, and it should not be copied to the demo as its installer size.
Returning playtest participants were specifically advised to start fresh for the October demo because old saves could cause bugs or crashes. If you choose to reset an older installation, preserve your saves externally first. Resetting saves is not a universal installation fix and does not preserve progress.
Before starting a download
Confirm the application name, Windows requirements and current access state together. Keep the demo's installation and progression separate from any historical playtest. No separate official offline installer or alternative storefront is confirmed as of November 2, 2026.
